Nuevas Tecnologias (Jesus)

In this class we learnt basic things about the interactive white board, and I think that this was very useful because this class one day before we went to our internships. For example in my school there were interactive white board in every class, so having a previous knowledge of this modern tool was really helpful, but people like me who had the opportunity to use these boards in class broadened our learning about this innovative tool.

I like interactive white boards quite a lot due to the fact that it motivates our pupils a lot when new technologies are used. They can take part in the teacher’s classes by manipulating the white board our other tools, for example if we take them to the computer room they can learn in a fun way. This new tools make us change the way of learning and teaching, trying to carry out activities which we make them participate in our classes and in their learning. Besides they are in the google generation, because they were born around technologies, and if we deny using new tools and technologies, our lesson will be unnatural. That’s the reason why I reckon that new technologies are so important, and all teacher should keep up to date because we have to keep in mind that technologies will make our teacher easier, they will be much more motivated and we will encourage them to learn and interactive white boards will help us a lot with our teacher and pupils learning.

Reflection on Assesment in excel

In this cla

ss we have learnt how to use some excel in order to create assessments for our future students. In this subject not only can we learn new technological tools for our future classes and our

pupils, but we can also learn to use a program excel, so as to facilitate our assessment. We can realize that we can use technology both for our kids and for ourselves.

When I had this class with Jesus I felt quite clumsy because I seldom use Excel and my knowledge of it is quite poor, but I have a great knowledge of word. So I had to do a great effort to carry out all steps which Jesus was saying, but finally I could understand everything quite well, because I was helped quite a lot by the teacher

We can find a lot of advantages in excel, For example we just write the formula and we can have the whole operation in all boxes of a chart. We can save a lot of time, because if we have to do it by hand one by one, it would take us long time.

My conclusion is that it will help us a lot with our assessment and another mathematical tasks which we want to perform without mistakes, because we just have to write the formula and numbers and we will have the result. However if we do it one by one, we can easily mistake and we could get intro trouble.

Reflecion on online survey

In this class we learnt how to create surveys online, and this class was quite curios, because this tool was completely new for me. I have never done an online survey before and at the beginning I felt quite lost but at the end I understood how to create surveys perfectly. We can do this survey on the internet for free and you have a lot of options to choose, For example you can create question with multiple choice or you can create closed question just YES or Not.

 The best thing of this tool is that you can share this tool through a link and our students could answer it really easily from home or the computer room.

 I think that knowing our pupils’ opinion about our classes and subject is really important, because we are taking them into consideration. So we can know their feeling and opinion about our way of giving our class, because the main goal of using these all technological tools are to motivate our pupils. We have to keep in mind that if our students are motivated and intereste

d in their learning, they will acquire their knowledge much better and faster. So that is why I think that doing surveys for our students are crucial.

Reflection on podcast

This class was one of the most Jesus’ interesting classes, because we learnt what podcast is and besides I personally gave a presentation with my class group, explaining what podcasting is.

I think this tool is super useful, because our future students will be able to learn good pronunciation due to podcast. They will be able to record and listening to themselves and they will realize their mistakes, so they will be able to correct their pronunciation too.

The most interesting thing about this tool is that they can share voice recording and videos and can correct each other too. Because not only can they see their mistakes but they can also see other people’s mistakes and that is really interesting and motivating.

Thanks to these technological tools where the teachers can end with the traditional classes and start using innovative methods where pupils are much more motivated and can take part in their own knowledge.

There have been several studies which state that it is proved that error rate dops from 20% to 5%, so we can see the huge learning increased. Besides it is proved too that they are much more motivated, because they are communicating with other people and they can compare their own pronunciation with other class mates and native speakers.

My conclusion is that if we use podcast, it will help us a lot as a teacher becaus

e our pupils will be able to realize their own mistake, due to the fact that that they will be able to listen to their own mistakes.
